Oslo’s first Shore Power Station officially opened
Our shore power station was officially opened on the 8th of January 2019 by the Governing Mayor of Oslo Raymond Johansen together with the Vice Mayor for Business development and Public Ownership Kjetil Lund, the Vice Mayor for Environment and Transport Lan Marie Nguyen Berg and the Director of Oslo Havn Ingvar M. Mathisen.
The shore power station, which will connect the ferries in Oslos harbour seamlessly to the power grid, will reduce C02 emissions corresponding to 1,300 cars and fuel consumption by 1420 tons annually.
